Library Director Roxbury Township Public Library, Succasunna, NJ

 Interviewing for the Director of the Roxbury Township Public Library in NW Morris County—a suburban NJ community of 23,000+.  We are seeking an innovative and energetic new leader for our vibrant library.  With a staff of 25 and a budget of 1.3 million, the new Library Director will find a supportive Board of Trustees, an active Friends of the Library organization and a dedicated group of volunteers.

 The Director we seek will have strong interpersonal skills, a working knowledge of library technology, as well as the ability to implement future development of the facility as a whole.

 Political acumen and a firm grasp of budgeting, personnel and facility management is required.

 Minimum Qualifications include:

  • MLS Degree from an ALA accredited program,
  • Minimum 7 years of Public Library experience including 4 years in a management capacity.
  • NJ Professional Librarian’s Certificate must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

 Compensation: the hiring range is $75,000 - $83,000 depending on qualifications and experience plus a competitive benefits program.

PART-TIME PAGE POSITION AVAILABLE

Part-time page  position available at Roxbury Public Library.  Duties consist of a variety of library services, primarily re-shelving library materials and assisting patrons of the library at the Circulation desk.

The work schedule includes some week day hours (including up to two nights a week), one Saturday in three and some Sundays for an average work schedule of 11 hours per week.
