Country, Folk, Rock, Blues, and even Gospel blend cohesively in Michael Patrick’s songs. His works are always heartfelt, sometimes autobiographical, with signature sarcasm and humor.

Bring your lawn chair and a picnic, and join us on the lawn of the library to hear a favorite local artist, Michael Patrick.
Since moving to a rural area on the west coast of New Jersey along the Delaware River, where, “his neighbors are now cows and horses,” Michael Patrick has found country living provides inspiration. Shortly thereafter, he quit his day job of 15 years to perform and write music full-time. He’s even produced two new albums, Crossing Bridges and HOME. Country, Folk, Rock, Blues, and even Gospel blend cohesively in Patrick’s songs, which are inspired by the likes of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Woody Guthrie, Lyle Lovett, and John Prine. They are always heartfelt, sometimes autobiographical, with some signature sarcasm and humor thrown in for good measure. Patrick has developed an appreciation of simplistic story-telling lyrics, catchy hooks and memorable melodies.
Patrick has wowed audiences with opening performances for Steve Earle, Dave Mason, Asleep at The Wheel, Pure Prairie League, Randy Travis, Clint Black, Marty Stuart, Rosanne Cash, Carlene Carter, Billy Joe Shaver, Gary Allen, David Allan Coe, Justin Townes Earle, Chris Knight, The Marshall Tucker Band, and The Outlaws just to name a few. He has six original albums, HOME (2021), John Wayne Movies (2018), Another Song You Never Heard (2012), Something to Fall Back On (2008), Roots and Branches (2004), and most recently, Crossing Bridges, released on September 29, 2023. Named Top Country Folk Artist by the Jersey Acoustic Music Awards, Patrick prides himself on energetic live shows with audience participation and interaction encouraged. He maintains a website at: www.michael-patrick.net which includes tour dates, media photos and video/audio clips.
