Suggest a Purchase

You are welcome to make a purchase suggestion if the library does not own an item you'd like to see on our shelves.

Before submitting the form please

  1. Check to be sure the item is not already in the library catalog
  2. Review the library's material selection policy. When we decline to purchase a suggested title, it is usualy because it does not adhere to the material selection policy.

What will happen after you submit the purchase request:

If the item meets our material selection policy standards and you are a Roxbury Library card holder, we will likely purchase it and inform you.

If the item does not meet our material selection policy standards, we will reach out to determine if we can satisfy your request through Interlibrary Loan. The best example of this is with textbooks. Because of their cost and relatively low demand, public libraries do not typically purchase textbooks. However we may be able to locate what you desire at other libraries, specifically academic libraries in the Interlibrary Loan system.

You're welcome to inititate an Interlibrary Loan request yourself below!
